Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Muthaakirah of Imaan:

Muhabbat of Allah – Pondering over what Allah (تعالي) has given us in favours by looking at our bodies, its organs, and also other favours of Allah (تعالي).

  • الحَمْدُ لِلّه for friends.

A sahabi رَضِي الله عَنْه once asked Rasulullah صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم, “Who can be the best companion for us?” Rasulullah صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم answered, “Such a person that, when you see him, you remember Allah; when you listen to him, your knowledge of Islam is increased; when you see his actions, you are reminded of the life Hereafter.”

  • الحَمْدُ لِلّه for good health.

Nabi صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم once said something to the effect, “Take benefit of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free-time before your preoccupation, and your life before your death.”

Fadhail-e-Salaah:

Sheikh رحمة الله عليه says that our life will become pleasant and worth living, if we develop our Imaan to the extent where two rakaats of salaah becomes more valuable in our sight than all the riches of this world.

Umme Salamah رَضِي الله عَنْهَا narrates that the last words of Rasulullah صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم, which he could hardly utter, were about guarding the salaah and kindness towards the slaves.

Shaqeeq Balkhi رحمة الله عليه says, “Five things can be acquired through five channels:

  1. An increase in provisions through Chaasht Salaah.
  2. A light in the grave through Tahajjud Salaah.
  3. A very satisfactory answer to Munkar and Nakeer through the recitation of the Qur’aan Shareef.
  4. An easy crossing of siraat through fasting and alms.
  5. Room under the shade of Allah’s arsh on the day of Qiyaamah through seclusion (i.e. zikr).”

#MissionSunnahRevival:

It comes in a Hadith Shareef, something to this effect, that Nabi صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم said whoever holds onto his sunnah at the time when the ummah will become corrupt, will get the reward of 100 martyrs.

  • Sunnah of giving and taking with the right hand.
  • Sunnah of dusting the bed and reading the dua whilst dusting the bed.
  • Sunnah of miswaak on awakening and when retiring.

May Allah grant us taufeeq to practice, Aameen!

Remember to make intention before doing your A’maal, because without intention our actions are futile.

!اسلا م عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Hope all readers are well, In Sha Allah.

It has been a long, long time since a post went up, hasn’t it?! Exams, Jalsa and end of the year went well all round, الحَمْدُ لِلّه. And now it’s finally holidays, الحَمْدُ لِلّه! But as Apa always says, our Imaani effort has to be a constant effort, ان شاءالله – holidays or no holidays.

So a quick renewal of our purpose and intentions… The purpose of this blog is to propagate and pass on whatever is learnt in madrassah, with the hope that sisters reading will start practicing on whatever they can and continue the chain of rewards by teaching others too, ان شاءالله.

This is an effort to be a means of hidaayat being spread, because as Nabi صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم said to Hadhrat Ali رَضِي الله عَنْه at Khaibar, that if Allah تعالي gives hidaayat to even one person because of you, it will be better for you than red camels. Our wish is that through this little effort, Imaan is ignited in the hearts of those, who know not the feeling of this priceless treasure, and strengthened in the hearts of those who already do, ان شاءالله.

Amongst our many intentions, this is firstly and solely for the pleasure of Allah تعالي, to follow on the Sunnah of our Habeeb صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم, and for the preservation and spreading of Deen, ان شاءالله. May Allah تعالي accept our weak and unworthy efforts and accept us all for His deen, امِين.

Muthaakirah of Imaan:

Ma’rifat of Allah – Taking one, one creation of Allah (تعالي) and pointing out Allah (تعالي)’s greatness in it.

  • سُبْحنَ الله how Allah تعالي  has placed mercy in the hearts of His creation. If Allah تعالي  did not place this mercy in the creation, no mother would worry for her child, no father for his son, no friend for a friend. We see even with animals, Allah تعالي  has placed this mercy in them as well, سُبْحنَ الله.

Fadhail-e-Qur’aan:

Hadhrat Abu Hurairah رَضِي الله عَنْه reports that Rasulullah صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم said, “Whoever listens to one ayat of the Qur’aan, there is written for him a twofold virtue, and whoever recite it (one ayat), it shall be a noor for him on the day of Qiyaaamah.”

Hadhrat Abu Hurairah رَضِي الله عَنْه reports that Rasulullah صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم said, “Whoever recites ten ayat in a night, is not reckoned amongst the neglectful.”

Hadhrat Abu Hurairah رَضِي الله عَنْه narrates that Rasulullah صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم said,
“Whoever remains steadfast in the five salaat will not be written amongst the neglectful; and whoever reads one hundred ayaat in a night will be written among the qaaniteen (the obedient).”

*Note: To achieve this reward one has to read looking into the Qur’aan Shareef and not from memory.

A few extracts from a beautiful Hadeeth Shareef:

Learning Ilm just for the pleasure of Allah تعالي is a proof of the fear of Allah تعالي, travelling in search of it is a worship, memorizing it is like glorifying Allah تعالي, making research in it is like Jihaad, reading it is like charity, and teaching it to one’s family members promotes nearness to Allah تعالي.

Ilm is like a companion to talk to in solitude, a guide during pain and pleasure, and a weapon for friends against foes. The angels love to befriend the seeker of knowledge, and rub their wings over them to be blessed or to show love. All things, whether of land or in the sea, including the fish in the sea, the beasts of the jungle, animals and even poisonous insects and reptiles like snakes, pray for the forgiveness of the seeker of knowledge.

All this is because Ilm is a light for the heart as well as for the eyes; it urges one to be the best personalities of the Ummah, and enables one to attain high position in this life as well as the Hereafter.

Studying Ilm is as virtuous as fasting and its memorizing is like offering Tahajjud prayer. It promotes good relations and it helps distinguish between right and wrong; it is a prerequisite for good deeds and controls them. The blessed are inspired by it and the accursed are deprived of it.

Final examinations started this week. Request special duaas for myself and fellow classmates, please. ان شاءالله remaining three weeks of posts will go up once exams are over.

May Allah تعالي grant us taufeeq to fulfill the rights of Ilm, grant us the complete noor of Ilm, be pleased with us always and accept from us, امِين.

11.10.2018 ~ Thursday

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Ilm alone is like a blown-off candle. Ilm with Amal however, is like a candle that is lit. A lit candle can light other candles, too. And to light our candles, to be able to bring Amal into our lives, we need to make a constant effort on our Imaan.

Muthaakirah of Imaan:

Mugheebat – Talking about death and life after death so the mind and heart remain conscious of them.

I’m not sure what we did for Mugheebaat this week, but I had this really awesome conversation about Jannah with one of my friends some time during the year. And I’ve meaning to put it up on the blog since then, but I just didn’t get down to doing it until now.

So here it is. Copied and pasted in all its original brilliance.

Riiight at the top of the list, and this one struck me first, is hearing Allah Paak read Surah Rahman. I also want to hear Bilal رضى الله عنه call out the Azaan. And I want to hear Hasan bin Thabit رضى الله عنه sing his famous poem about Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم.

I want to perform Salaah behind Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم.

I want to do all of the things we stop ourselves from doing for the pleasure of Allah. Like putting on perfume, and riding horses, and swimming without worrying about who’s around.

I want to witness an interaction between Abu Bakr رضى الله عنه and Umar رضى الله عنه. Like when they were running towards Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم.

I want to shake Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم’s hand so that I can smell the scent that clung to the hands of the Sahabah رضى الله عنهم.

I want to see Fathima رضى الله عنها wear her wedding dress. The one they show as green and gold.

I want to sit with my friends and family and praise Allah. I want to be able to say Alhamdulillah for making it to Jannah.

I want to meet the brother we never got to meet. To see if his personality is as we imagine it to be.

I want to see Yusuf عليه السلام and Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم and Adam عليه السلام.

I want to eat gums. And marshmallows. And chips. And all the sweets we stayed away from because we were doubtful of their ingredients. And I want to see the look on my niece’s face when she sees her chocolate house in Jannah.

But really, really, really, I just want to be listening to Qur’aan. THIS IS ALSO IMPORTANT AND IN CAPS SO YOU DON’T MISS THIS. MAKE DUA I MARRY A PARTNER THAT PRACTICES ON THE QUR’AAN, AND THAT IS A STRONG HAFIZ WITH A GOOD VOICE AMEEN!

(I initially edited out the last part, but just because I want you all to make that dua for her, I put it back in. So please take a few seconds of your time to make dua that she is blessed with just that, and with Jannatul Firdaus where she gets to tick off all her goals on her Jannah bucket-list. Aameen! ❤️)

And because my life will be at risk if I don’t copy my part of the conversation in, here it is – well, part of it, anyway.

How cool would it be to watch the times of the Sahaba رضى الله عنهم as a movie with the Sahaba رضى الله عنهم acting it out live – Like battle of Uhud. And Badr. And Khandaq!

And a Jummah Khutbah by Umar رَضِي الله عَنْه because in my head his voice just sounds like it was made for the Arabic Khutbah!

And a dars (lesson) with Nabi صَلي الله عَليْه و سَلم as the ustaadh.

And there will only be happiness. Only happiness. No sadness. No worry. No grief. No anxiety. No stress. (Adding one more here now – There will be no exams! #Goals.)

And Allah تعالي will visit us personally because we observe parda in this world.

And a duel with Dhiraar رَضِي الله عَنْه. And I want to see that scene where Khawlah رَضِي الله عَنْهَا rode into the army on horseback reciting couplets.

And Ayesha رَضِي الله عَنْهَا blushing. And a joke with Sauda رَضِي الله عَنْهَا. And witty comments with Ali رَضِي الله عَنْه.

Would love to hear what is on your Jannah bucket-list. If you don’t already have one, start making a mental one, ان شاءالله. Apa was telling us how important it is to speak about Jannah and what we want in Jannah, because by doing this, it makes it easier for us to work towards Jannah, ان شاءالله.

May Allah make it easy for us to sacrifice and fight our nafs in this world so that we may be able to enjoy the everlasting bounties of Jannatul Firdaus through His grace and mercy, امِين.

Muthaakirah of Imaan:

Nafi and Ithbaat – negating the apparent effect and abilities of one, one creation of Allah (تعالي) till our hearts can only see Allah (تعالي) as the one decider of all matters.

  • لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلله it is not the medicine that grants us cure, but it is the hukm of Allah تعالي.

Fadhail-e-Zikr:

In his book Munabbihaat, Hafiz Ibn Hajar رحمة الله عليه writes that Hadhrat Uthmaan رَضِي الله عَنْه while explaining the Qur’aanic verse…

وَكَانَ تَحْتَهُ كَنْزٌلَّهُمَا – Beneath it there was a treasure for them…

said that the treasure meant a golden tablet, on which were written the following 7 lines:

  1. I wonder at the man who knows that he is to die yet indulges in laughter.
  2. I wonder at the man who knows that this world will come to an end one day, but hankers after it.
  3. I wonder that a man who knows that everything is predestined should lament the loss of anything.
  4. I wonder that a man who believes in the reckoning of the Hereafter should amass wealth.
  5. I wonder that a man who has the knowledge of the fire of hell should commit any sin.
  6. I wonder that a man who believes in Almighty Allah should remember anybody other than Him.
  7. I wonder that a man who believes in paradise should feel pleasure in anything of this world.

One who recites 10x Surah Ikhlaas after Fajr salaah will saved from doing sins throughout the day. Apa mentioned that this is a very powerful Amal. Let us make intention to start doing it, ان شاءالله.

May Allah grant us taufeeq to practice, Aameen!

Remember to make intention before doing your A’maal, because without intention our actions are futile.
